We each create our own experience.
On a freezing cold January morning in 1998, I launched Top7Business.com. It was an idea that was swirling around in my head for a few months at the time. It was meant to be... or so my ego would like me to believe.
The inspiration for Top7Business came from Thomas Leonard (1955-2004) as he had created a similar project called his Top Ten lists. I thought it would be cool if there could be 7 business tips instead of 10. I knew there was value in "getting to the point" as brevity can be golden when time is scarce.
I had no idea we'd be here 6+ years later with hundreds of articles, a hundred+ expert contributors (thought leaders) adding their expertise and strategies to the mix, tens of thousands of unique visitors to the site, and thousands of Top7Business email list members.
In May of this year it dawned on me that it was time to unite the Top7Business community and give them a forum to add their own tips, critiques, rants or raves about the articles and subjects that make up the Top7Business project and archives.
We tried this once before with the Top7Business-Talk discussion list; but as Jessie of Monster Garage would say; "When you fail, destroy all evidence that can prove you tried." My gut says this web-based format has a better shot at delivering a longer-lasting value.
My ten year plan for this community is to grow it to 10,000 registered members.
Consider this your formal invitation to register and join the party. I'd be honored if you'd join us to add your uniqueness to the discussion. Go here to register. Only takes about 15-30 seconds:
