Everywhere you go you'll hear on how gas prices and no credit are making life difficult for American families. There's no doubt that there's stress these days among all classes of society. Many people are talking about "cutting" back to save money. But I would like to challenge your thinking. Instead of cutting back corners, why not think about how you can find "new" ways in making money or "magnetizing money".

We've all known someone who seems to have the Midas touch when making money or maybe they just have a money tree growing in their backyard. The fact is it's neither. When you focus on not having money you'll get back exactly that - no money. When you decide to find new ways of making money you "magnetize money".

So just what are these ways of magnetizing money you ask?

  1. Be grateful for what you have.

Give thanks and praise for everything you currently have in your life. Take a few minutes to make a list of all that you have, even the things that seem small to you. Be grateful for the $3.90 a gallon gas that you can purchase because there are many countries that are unable to get gas or pay much higher price then we do. And don't forget to be grateful for the money you have, blessing this will activate the Law of Reciprocity which is defined as getting more of what you are grateful for.

  2. How you start out your day also determines whether you are pushing money away or magnetizing it.

Do you get up each morning and say to yourself, "oh YES or "oh-NO". People who go to work and don't enjoy their job do make money but chances are they are not as successful as those who love what they do. What you say to yourself in the morning before you get out of bed set's the tone on your attitude on what your day is going to be. Oh yes, I can't wait to get out of bed and start my day because I love what I do.

  3. Learn how to spend your time productively and spend free time in your car educating yourself.

According to the Nielsen Media Research, the average household watches 8 hours and 14 minutes of television per day. People who magnetize money and are successful spend far less time watching television then those who are un-successful. And when you travel in your vehicle you are riding on a potential University on Wheels. Instead of listening to how the economy is in a recession educate yourself with materials on how the prosperous think and make money. These materials can be found at Barnes and Noble Bookstores, Amazon, or free at the library.

  4. Those who magnetize money pay themselves first regardless of how much debt they hold.

Starting out with saving 10% of your monthly income and putting it away in a "don't touch" account. Less then one year later we had $8000.00 saved. Saving money in a clear jar and putting it in a visible place where you will see it several times a day will always remind that you "do" have money.

  5. Study how money is being made online.

More millionaires have resulted from the presence of online business in the past twelve years then ever before. Find out who these winners are and learn everything you can about them.

  6. Remove poverty pictures from your walls.

Take everything off your walls that reminds you of lack, poverty and just having without. Instead, place pictures of places you would like to visit. In my home I have oil paintings of all the wonderful places I've visited. Instead of buying the T-shirt on vacation why not a wonderful picture of the landscape your visiting.

  7. Throw Out the junk in your house.

De-clutter your home and office and realize that you just can't think with all that junk around. Organize your stuff and you'll soon realize you can have greater thinking without all the stuff messing up your mind.
